Hello all,
We are temporarily reviving our Children's Blog to provide some
resources for families who are stuck at home during this period of
social distancing due to COVID-19. We will put together a variety of
activities for you and your families every day at 1:00 pm. Watch for
weekend Boredom Busters on Saturday and/or Sunday. See which
ones you can do, and if you get the chance, share the results with us on
any of our social media platforms, which will be listed at the bottom
of this blog.
Today's theme is Raindrops!
Raindrop Suncatchers: https://www.pre-kpages.com/raindrop-suncatchers-fine-motor-art/
For this project you need:
- Blue crayons
- Pencil/Crayon sharpener (or scissors with adult supervision)
- Waxed Paper
- Iron (for adult use only)
- Scissors
Make your own beautiful raindrop suncatchers, and hang them in the window when you're all done!
Weather Process Art: https://www.pre-kpages.com/three-weather-art-activities/
Make your own art inspired by frost, rain, and wind! Each activity uses different materials and techniques. Use a dropper filled with water to make rain art, a straw to make wind art, and epsom salts to make frost art! The only limit is your imagination!
While you're exploring some weather painting, check out this Weather Song!
Rain Painting: http://www.housingaforest.com/rain-painting/
Don't let the rain outside keep you cloudy inside. Make the most of that rain with these fun rainy day art projects! Break up some old watercolour pallets, or even just washable markers!
Hopefully these activities help break up the day, and get your family
engaged in making the most of a rainy day!
If your kids loved these activities, feel free to send us feedback or
pictures on any of our social media platforms, linked below.
