Monster, monster, turn around.

Monster, monster, reach up high. 
Monster, monster, squint your eyes. 
Monster, monster, show your teeth. 
Monster, monster, stamp your feet.

5.             5.   Fingerplay: Itsy Bitsy Monkey 
The itsy bitsy monkey climbed up the coconut tree  
[Have hands climb.] 
Down came a coconut that bopped him on the knee  

[Drop fist from over head to hit yourself on the knee.] 
Along came his Mama, who kissed away the pain  

[Kiss your fist.] 
Then the itsy bitsy monkey climbed up the tree again  

[Climb hands again -having kids stretch as high as they can reach.

7.                8. Craft- Mice Fingerpuppet
Materials: Construction paper folded in half cut in arc, pink circles, glue, googly eyes, pencil crayons, yarn, hole punch

3.             Five little kittens
Five little kittens standing in a row (hold up 5 fingers)
They nod their heads to the children so (bend fingers)
They run to the left, they run to the right (run fingers to the left and then to the right)
They stand up and stretch in the bright sunlight (stretch fingers out tall)
Along comes a dog who's in for some fun (hold up one finger from opposite hand)
MEOW! See those little kittens run (let fingers run).

5.             Read third story Lemons Are Not Red, What the Ladybird Heard, or  Big Red Lollipop

6.             Song: Five Little Ladybugs
Five little ladybugs, climbing on some plants,
Eating the aphids, but not the ants!
The first one said: "Save some aphids for me!"
The second one said: "These are tasty as can be!"
The third one said: "Oh, they're almost gone!"
The fourth one said: "Then it's time to move on!
The fifth one said: "Come on, let's fly!"
So they opened their wings and flew through the sky.

7.             Craft- MAKING LANTERNS
Materials: Construction paper folded in half with 1”marks along fold., scissors, stapler, markers
Give each child a piece of 9” x 12” construction paper and some scissors. Decorate with markers. Have them cut on the lines to with-in 1” of the opposite edge. When finished cutting, show your children how to open their papers and then roll the paper into a cone and securing the ends together with staples. The lanterns should expand out from the middle to resemble old time lanterns.
