The COW is coming October 26!

The Alberta Prairie Classroom On Wheels (C.O.W.) is visiting the Sylvan Lake Municipal Library on October 26th, from 3 to 8 pm. The C.O.W. bus is a friendly space for parents and younger children, zero to six years, to learn and explore fun new ways to add literacy activities into their daily lives. Painted on the outside to look like a Holstein cow, the inside of the 38ft bus is set up with individual centres for families to explore together. Trained family literacy facilitators provide information on the importance of early language development and leave behind a small library of quality children’s books for the Sylvan Lake Municipal Library.

This fun-filled bus travels to communities across Alberta promoting family literacy and bringing fun activities to rural and urban communities. It is a journey of discovery for children and their parents as they interact with the resources on the bus. The Alberta Prairie C.O.W. Bus is funded by: Alberta Advanced Education and Technology, Community Programs and United Way “Working together in Alberta”.

Come drop by and check out this fabulous resource provided free of charge!
