Craft: Paper Plate Fox

Materials: Paper plate cut into triangle, orange tissue paper squares, orange construction paper triangles, brown pom pom, glue, markers. 

Glue orange tissue paper squares all over the plate. Glue orange triangles on the back of the paper plate as ears. Glue on pomp om for nose at the tip of the triangle plate. Draw on the foxes eyes.

We read: The Lorax.

This story is Miss Corrie's favourite Dr. Seuss book! It carries such a strong message in a brilliant, colourful way.

All the way from "I am the Lorax, I speak for the trees. I speak for the trees for the trees have no tongues." to "Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not." 

We sang "The Cat in the Hat" to the tune of "The Addams' Family".

Crafts: Paper Plate Whale

Materials: paper plate folded in half, tail and flukes cut from blue construction paper, googly eyes, glue, markers

Glue tail on folded edge of the plate, glue on flukes one on each side. Glue on googly eyes. Decorate as wanted.

Craft-Volcano

Materials: construction paper cone stapled onto small paper plate, crepe paper, cotton balls, markers, glue

Glue on bits of crepe paper to make the lava on the volcano, add smoke with a cotton ball. Decorate with 

markers as desired.
