Boredom Busters: Comic Art

Hello all,

We are temporarily reviving our Children's Blog to provide some resources for families who are stuck at home during this period of social distancing due to COVID-19. We will put together a variety of activities for you and your families every day at 1:00 pm. Watch for weekend Boredom Busters on Saturday and/or Sunday. See which ones you can do, and if you get the chance, share the results with us on any of our social media platforms, which will be listed at the bottom of this blog.

Today's theme is Comic Art!

Creating a Comic Strip: https://www.mykidsadventures.com/create-comic-strip-kids/

Use this as your guide for creating your own individual or family comic strip. Don't worry if you don't have all of the supplies. Use what you have and make it unique to you. Paper and pencil are the bare necessities!

Check out these free printable comic book templates!

If you have some old (but not rare/valuable) comics lying around at home, check out some of these crafts to re-purpose them!

Comic Book Word Art: https://www.clipart.email/clipart/comic-book-word-clipart-24438.html

"Boom!" "Pow!" "Zap!" Comic books have great action words, and they're almost always big, bright, and colourful. Create some of your own Comic Book Word Art with any fun and powerful words you can think of!

Here's another great resource!

Hopefully these activities help break up the day and get your family engaged in creating comic art.

If your kids loved these activities, feel free to send us feedback or pictures on any of our social media platforms, linked below.
