Week 3: Weather

Books read:
A Flock of Shoes by Sarah Tisang: Sandals aren't the most appropriate attire for all types of weather. This is a comical book about where our summer shoes go for the winter. The kids had fun identifying the different types of weather in this book.
I'm Grumpy by Jenifer L. Holm and Matthew Holm: This was a fun comic book where we had to make inferences of what was happening based on the pictures. We had fun showing off our very best grumpy faces, and then we played around making our happy faces.

Activities:
For our activity today we pretended we were tornadoes, and sun, and rain! Afterwards we sang a bunch of weather themed songs.
Craft:
Today for our craft we made cloud hand puppets. To make our puppets we decorated brown paper bags with cotton balls, raindrops, and rainbows! It was great to see the creativity that shone through during this craft.
