Poem:  Five Little Apples
Five red apples hanging in a tree (Hold up five fingers) The juiciest apples you ever did see.
The wind came by and gave an angry frown (Fingers flutter downward)
And one little apple came tumbling down (lower one finger)  

Four red apples, hanging in a tree, (Hold up four fingers) The juiciest apples you ever did see.
The wind came by and gave an angry frown (Fingers flutter downward)
And one little apple came tumbling down (lower one finger)
 
Three red apples, hanging in a tree, (Hold up three fingers) The juiciest apples you ever did see.
The wind came by and gave an angry frown (Fingers flutter downward)
And one little apple came tumbling down (lower one finger)

Two red apples, hanging in a tree, (Hold up two fingers) The juiciest apples you ever did see.
The wind came by and gave an angry frown (Fingers flutter downward)

Craft: Cut Paper Apple

Materials: small paper plates, cut pieces of red construction paper, brown construction paper stems, green construction paper leaves, glue

Cover paper plate with glue and stick on red pieces of paper until it is completely covered. Glue on stem on the front and 2 leaves on the back of the plate. Punch a hole big enough for a finger if they want a worm eating their apple.
