3. Poem: Chocolate Soup (Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star)
Dip some ice cream in a bowl,
Then add chocolate while it's cold
Let it melt 'til it gets soft.
Lick your sticky fingers off.
Stir it, stir it, til it's goop,
Now you've made a chocolate soup!

Action Poem: Itsy Bitsy Spider
The itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout
Down came the rain and washed the spider out
Out came the sun and dried up all the rain
And the itsy bitsy spider went up the spout again.

5. Action Song: Monster Soup
There are monsters everywhere,
Monsters wandering in my hair,
Monsters on the corner stair,
Monsters in the rocking chair,
Monsters going up the wall,
Monsters that are very tall,
If I caught them in a bunch,
I'd have monster soup for lunch.

6. Craft: Soup Picture
Make a fun picture of soup using noodles and construction paper.
Materials Needed:
Heavy Construction Paper Alphabet Shapes – foam shapes, alphabet stamps. Other items for soup- feathers, paper scraps, markers.
Glue, scissors, stamp pads
Instructions: Cut a large circle out of construction paper, any color - this will be the bowl. Then make another circle, about 1/2 inch smaller, out of a light colored piece of paper - this will be the alphabet soup broth. Glue the broth circle into the center of the bowl circle.
Now comes the fun part! Use noodles, shapes or stamps and "write" your name or other words in your soup bowl.
