Down by the Lake
Books:
The first book we read was Turtle Splash by Cathryn Falwell. This was a fun book with lots of animals that we could act out.
The second book we read was The Foolish Tortoise by Eric Carle. The Foolish Tortoise was a book about a tortoise who is tired of being weighed down his shell, but wishes he was back in his shell when he meets some new creatures on his journey.
Activity:
For our activity today we pretended we were different lake animals. Then we played a game of Mr.Wolf, but instead of a wolf it was Mr.Turtle.
Craft:
For our craft today we made paper plate fish. To decorate our fish we used bingo dabbers.
Snack:
For our snack today we had strawberries, apples, and carrots.
