1000 Books Week Thirty-Seven

How's everyone enjoying this balmy weather? Getting excited for Winterfest? I know I am? Myself, and two others (Frank and Breanne), are jumping in the Polar Bear Dip on February 16th! Want to help raise money for the Library? Come down and pledge for one of us to jump!

Our last Star Reader of the Week was Isabella!

Our next Star Reader is Jayce! Congratulations!

Our last Book of the Week was "Tell Me About Your Day Today", by Mem Fox, a touching celebration of imagination, play, and friendship.

Our thirty-seventh Book of the Week is "Diary of a Wombat", by Jackie French.

"Hilarious and completely charming, this delightful tale of a wombat who trains humans to be his pets is now in paperback! A wombat is an Australian animal that looks a little like a bear, but smaller. Its favorite pastimes are digging holes, eating, and sleeping. In this book, a wombat tells its own story, about...guess what? Digging holes, eating, and sleeping. And, of course, training its new neighbors--humans!" - Sandpiper

Don't forget, tomorrow is our Princess and Popstars event at the Library! If you've already registered for this exciting program, we'll see you tomorrow at 1:00!

Starting in March, Saturday morning Lap-Sit will move to Monday afternoons. Stay tuned for more details!

Stay tuned for our next Star Reader and Book of the Week! Keep up the good reading!
