1000 Books Week Thirty-Five

Our poor Star Readers have been sick! We hope they get better soon! This bug that's going around has been pretty nasty!

If you're near the library today, come to our Family Literacy Event, with our Special Guest Star, Ronald McDonald! He'll be here from 1:00 - 2:00 pm, reading stories, working some magic, and talking about literacy and the Library. Register for this free event now! Call us at 403-887-2130! Snacks and drinks provided!

Our last Star Reader of the Week was Brock (feel better soon!).

This week's Star Reader is Kyler! Congratulations!

Our last Book of the Week was "Five Little Monkeys Jump in the Bath", a silly rhyming tale about five mucky monkeys.

Our thirty-fifth Book of the Week is "Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons", by Eric Litwin.

"Pete the Cat is wearing his favorite shirt—the one with the four totally groovy buttons. But when one falls off, does Pete cry? Goodness, no! He just keeps on singing his song—after all, what could be groovier than three groovy buttons? Count down with Pete in this rocking new story from the creators of the bestselling Pete the Cat books." - Harper Collins
Stay tuned for our next Star Reader and Book of the Week!

1000 Books Week Thirty-Four

More and more kids are winning prizes for reading! Keep up the good work!

Our last Star Reader of the Week was Jace!

This week's Star Reader is Brock! Congratulations!

Our last Book of the Week was "Andrew, Where Are You?", written by our very own local author, Christine Noble.

Our thirty-fourth Book of the Week is, "Five Little Monkeys Jump in the Bath", by Eileen Christelow.

"When five little monkeys eat some ice cream and play in the mud, they become icky, sticky monkeys . . . and Mama says it’s time for a bath! But even after those silly little monkeys scrub themselves clean, they find a way to get mucky all over again. Toddlers will giggle over the wild monkey antics, rhyming refrains, and
expressive, up-close monkey art in this brand-new board book."
- HMH Books
