See You Later, Alligator! Story Time Letter A

A is for apple, abbey, aardvark, angel, Aussie, asparagus, ant, ape, and alligator!

To start off, we shook our sillies out with some egg-shaker fun!

Then we read:

Hooray for Amanda & Her Alligator! by Mo Willems

Alligator Baby, by Robert Munsch

A Girl and Her Gator, by Sean Bryan

Mama Don't Allow, by Thacher Hurd

Alphabeasts, byWallace Edwards

We sang:

Five Little Monkeys Swinging in the Trees

Five little monkeys swinging in the trees,
Teasing Mr. Alligator,
"You can't catch me! You can't catch me!"
Along came an alligator,
Quiet as can be, and ...
Snatched that monkey right out of the tree!

Countdown from 4, 3, 2, ...

One little monkey swinging in the trees,
Teasing Mr. Alligator,
"You can't catch me! You can't catch me!"
Along came an alligator,
Quiet as can be, and ...
"Haha, you missed me!"
