1000 Books Week Forty-Three

Spring has finally sprung (not counting that little snowfall this morning)! Get ready for some great puddle jumping!

Congratulations to Chloe and Linaya for bringing back their reading sheets and winning some prizes!

Our last Star Reader of the Week was Bella (and what an awesome picture she takes)!

This week's Star Reader is Alexa! Congratulations!

Our last Book of the Week was "Chu's Day", by Neil Gaiman, a sneezerriffic story!

Our forty-third Book of the Week, in celebration of Earth Day, is "And the Good Brown Earth", by Kathy Henderson.

"Gram and Joe love to spend time together taking care of the vegetable patch, but it takes a lot of patience. There’s digging time, planting time, weeding time, watering time, even thinking time. Meanwhile, the seasons change, and while Gram does things her way, Joe does things his way. But come harvest, each will find wondrous surprises, thanks to the benevolence of the good brown earth." - Candlewick

Stay tuned for our next Star Reader and Book of the Week! Happy Earth Day!
