Rabbit
Age 2’s and 3’s, 4’s and 5’s

1. Storytime – Welcome Song
Storytime is starting, starting, starting.
Storytime is starting, come and listen to me.

2. Read first story “Peekaboo, Blueberry”, "Scuba Bunnies", "The Little Rabbit who liked to say Moo", or "Bunny".

3. Song: Here’s Bunny
Here’s bunny (Make bunny with fingers)
With nose so funny (Make right thumb wiggle)
This is his home in the ground. (Make a hole with left finger and thumb)
When a noise he hears, (Make ears, fingers, wiggle)
He perks up his ears, (Straighten fingers out)
And jumps into the ground. (Jump right hand into hole in left hand)

4. Read second story “Make Way for Dumb Bunnies", "Doorknob the Rabbit and the Carnival of Bugs", "Tippy-tippy-tippy Hide", "More and More Rabbits", or "Which Would You Rather Be".

5. Finger play: Once I Saw a Bunny
Once I Saw a Bunny (close fist and extend middle and index fingers)
And a green, green cabbage head (make fist with other hand)
“I think I'll have some cabbage” the little bunny said
So he nibbled and he nibbled (wiggle the two fingers up and down)
And he pricked up his ears to say (extend fingers straight)
Now I think it's time I should be hopping on my way. (hop hand away)

Little Bunny
There was a little bunny that lived in the wood, (Make a bunny with your fingers)
He wiggled his ears, as a good bunny should. (Wiggle fingers)
He hopped by a squirrel, (Hop your bunny down the other arm)
He hopped by a tree. (Hop your bunny down the other arm)
He hopped by a duck, (Hop your bunny down the other arm)
And he hopped by me. (Hop your bunny down the other arm)
He stared at the squirrel. (Stare)
He stared at the tree (Stare)
He stared at the duck. (Stare)
But he made faces at me! (Wiggle nose in rabbit fashion)

5. Crafts: Easter Bunny
Cut out an Easter Bunny and decorate the bunny with crayons, colored tissue paper, cotton balls, and other materials. Add some brightly colored eggs and you have a great Easter Bunny ready to go!
